Nancy Pryzant Picus

Nancy Pryzant Picus has served The Shlenker School as Director of Jewish Learning since 1987. She holds a Master of Arts in Hebrew Education and an honorary Doctorate of Jewish Religious Education from the Rhea Hirsch School of Education at Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles. Since receiving her degree, Nancy has been involved in many facets of Jewish education, including teaching, curriculum writing and supervision, and administration. Ms. Picus is currently the immediate past president of PARDeS, the Progressive Association of Reform Day Schools.

Nancy supports the Hebrew staff with curriculum and instruction updates and works with classroom teachers in the integration of Jewish Learning. She teaches Torah Together!, a weekly parent class, plans Jewish family programs, oversees the development of the fifth grade Siddur, and directs the graduation ceremony. She also coordinates all Shabbat and holiday celebrations.
