In addition to a strong academic curriculum, our students have the opportunity to participate in a rich after-school program. Our program provides an exciting array of activities each semesterthat may include:
- Karate
- Robotics
- Chess
- Choir
- Art
- Dance
- Destination Imagination Enrichment Programs
- Digital Photography
- Mad Science
- School newpaper

Each class meets once or twice per week, generally from 3:20 until 4:20 p.m. Classes are filled as registration requests are received on a first come, first served basis. For questions, please contact Elizabeth Wilkins or call 713-270-6127.
The Shlenker School also serves as a meeting space for several Girl Scout Troops. Congregation Beth Israel sponsors a Boy Scout troop that meets in the evenings. Parents who wish for their children to participate in scouting activities should contact the San Jacinto Girl Scout Council, the Boy Scouts of America, or the parents who are coordinating the individual troops
