The Shlenker Dads’ and Special Friends’ Club provides an opportunity for the dads and special friends to be a special part of their children’s school life, while assisting other organizations within The Shlenker School to grow. We are the “Honey Do” of the School available to teachers, administrative staff and the PTO.
The Shlenker Dads’ and Special Friends’ Club has been an active part of the school for many years; however 2006 was the first year as an organized group. We have a board of six members and are organizing a full list of active members and volunteers. We are going to make our presence known throughout the year by hosting and assisting with different events.
Each year comes with a new list of fresh ideas and opportunities for all dads to become involved. While all have important obligations and our time is very limited, you will find that this is not an organization that will take you away from your day-to-day obligations. However, you will find it very rewarding to be involved with the school and your children. You will also be very happy when you really see what is happening at the school and in your children’s school lives. The most important thing to remember is that participating in the events is just as important as volunteering.
Should you have any ideas or want to be more involved with the Dads and Special Friends’ Club in planning our future, please call us at any time. We would also like to add that there is not a membership fee to be a part of this club. All dads and special friends are welcome.
