Green Club
The Shlenker School students understand the importance of recycling, reusing and reducing. The Green Club school sponsors, Mrs. Ariel and Mrs. Jackson, meet after school with students in grades 2 through 5.
Topics for exploration include these and more:
- global warming
- depletion of the ozone layer
- green house effect
- climate change
- energy sources
- endangered animals
- gardening
- green choices – cleaning products, cosmetics etc., and composting
Students learn what they can do to help the earth by educating themselves and their parents too!
