Book Fair

We hope you loved visiting the Enchanted Forest of Books! Shlenker's Online Book Fair continues through November 15th.  To shop online, visit www.scholastic.com/bf/theshlenkerschool.  Purchases made through November 15th will continue to benefit the collection of The Myrtle and Walter Loewenstern Children’s Library! Just like the in-school version, which concludes at 4 pm Friday, November 9th, 100% of Fair proceeds support our school library .

The Book Fair is a huge undertaking that relies in large part on volunteer power. Many thanks to the decorations, setup, and teardown teams; student shopping escorts; Book Fair Chairs: Stephanie Layne, Marcus Litofsky, Ashley Roseman, and Kimberly Wexler; and of course, our incredible Librarian, Marilyn Arlen.

What is the Shlenker Parents Association?

The Shlenker Parents Association (SPA) is a volunteer group of parents, teachers, and administrators working together to create a better school and educational experience for our children.

SPA Mission

The mission of the Shlenker Parents Association (SPA) is to advance the partnership between the Early Childhood and Elementary parents, teachers, and administrators. The SPA'S volunteer-driven operations aim to augment the education of every child, promote Shlenker's programs and special events, and foster the spirit of our school community members.

What Does SPA Do?

The Shlenker Parents Association supports the school in a multitude of ways. SPA sponsors several activities and programs that benefit and enrich classroom learning as well as coordinate family and community events. SPA offers an assortment of fundraising programs throughout the school year so that SPA can contribute valuable dollars to The Shlenker School’s annual budget.
