Sarah Thompson Schick, a current Shlenker parent, is proud to be part of the school community as she and her husband support their daughter Shoshana’s journey in second grade.

How has Shlenker made a difference in your child’s life, both inside and outside the classroom? 

Shlenker offers a space for students to explore and be curious - we notice this in our daughter's conversations at home and with her friends. We love hearing about what she is learning and then watch how that is applied in her daily experiences at school, at home and in the wider community.

What do you value most about the teachers, programs, or community at Shlenker? 

The collaborative and supportive nature of the Shlenker environment is what I value most. As one of my favorite authors, Minda Harts says "Success is not a solo sport." You do feel like you are in community and all hands are on deck at Shlenker.

How would you describe the Shlenker community to a prospective family? 

Shlenker is an excellent school for children and their parents; a place where the children are guaranteed to be academically challenged and immersed in a love for their Judaism, and parents can find supportive community among the teachers, staff and other Shlenker parents.

What makes you proud to be a Shlenker parent? 

I love the depth of learning and community that grounds Shlenker and am proud to be a parent who sends their child to such an excellent school.
