Early Childhood

• Infant Program: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
• Young Toddler, Older Toddler, PreK-3: 9:00 AM–12:30 PM (Pickup by 12:40 PM)
• PreK-4: 9:00 AM–3:10 PM (Pickup by 3:30 PM)

Elementary School (Kindergarten–5th Grade)

• 7:55 AM–3:10 PM (Pickup by 3:30 PM)

Doors open at 7:40 AM. Students not picked up by 3:30 PM will be sent to Extended Day.

Before School

• Early Birds: Available from 7:30–8:45 AM for Young Toddler through PreK-4 students.

After School

• Extended Day: Available until 6:00 PM for Young Toddler through 5th Grade.
• Afternoon Adventures: Available from 12:30–3:20 PM for Young Toddler, Older Toddler, and PreK-3 students.

Yes. Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed on a space- and funds-available basis.

Children must meet the following age requirements on or before September 1 of the school year:

• Infant Program: Children must be at least 6 weeks old to begin.
• Young Toddler: 15 months and walking
• Older Toddler: 2 years
• PreK-3: 3 years
• PreK-4: 4 years

Yes. The Shlenker School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and is a member of PRIZMAH: Center for Jewish Day Schools.

All students must be fully immunized in accordance with the Texas Department of State Health Services. Documentation from a physician is required before the first day of school.

Medical exemptions must be renewed annually and require documentation from a Texas-licensed physician. The school does not accept exemptions for conscientious objections and any medical exemption must be approved by the Head of School.

In the event of a vaccine-preventable disease outbreak, students who are not fully immunized may be excluded from school and all school activities.

The Shlenker School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, and programs offered. The school does not discriminate in its admissions, educational policies, tuition assistance, or other programs.

Yes. Students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade wear school uniforms. Early Childhood students do not wear uniforms.
