Purposeful Play Lab
The Purposeful Play Lab is a space devoted to fostering a sense of wonder and imagination in our students. Students in PreK-4 and kindergarten visit the Purposeful Play Lab once per week for 45 minutes. At Shlenker, we know that when children engage in imaginative play, they not only develop creativity, they learn to be flexible thinkers who possess core social skills such as negotiation, collaboration, and empathy. These skills are too important to leave up to chance, so we make sure to teach these skills to our students through purposeful play.
