We are very excited to share with you that The Shlenker School has been named a 2020 NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL by the U.S. Department of Education!
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors private and public elementary, middle, and high schools, in one of two performance categories: “Exemplary High Performing” and “Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing.” The Shlenker School was nominated in the Exemplary High Performing category and recognized as one of the highest performing schools in the state, as measured by standardized state assessments.
To be named a National Blue Ribbon School, the U.S. Department of Education requests nominations from the top education officials in every state. Nominated schools are then invited to apply and must submit an extensive application for consideration. Click here to view our profile and completed application.
Shlenker is one of 367 schools nationwide and one of only 50 private schools nationwide to receive the prestigious honor, which identifies schools that are models of successful teaching and learning. The Shlenker School is also one of only two private schools in Texas to be named a 2020 Blue Ribbon School.
We want to thank the entire Shlenker community! It is because of your hard work, dedication, and commitment that we have been selected for this honor and can continue to provide students with a high-quality Jewish day school education, thereby igniting the spark in our students. Regardless of the challenges that 2020 poses, The Shlenker School is thriving together. We are #shlenkerproud and #shlenkerstrong!
