Before & After Care
At The Shlenker School, we understand the needs of busy families and proudly offer engaging, flexible, and developmentally appropriate care options before and after the school day. Whether you’re looking for early drop-off, extended afternoon care, or enrichment programming, we have a variety of offerings designed to support both your child and your family.
Early Birds: Before School Care
Early Birds provides supervised care beginning at 7:30am for Early Childhood students in Young Toddler through PreK-4 who arrive before the start of the school day. Families may enroll for any combination of days that suits their schedule.

Extended Day: After School Care
Extended Day provides care from 3:30–6:00pm for students in Early Childhood and Elementary School.
- Early Childhood students (Young Toddler–PreK-4) enjoy indoor and outdoor play and must be enrolled in Afternoon Adventures to participate in Extended Day.
- Elementary students have homework time, enjoy outdoor play, and participate in quiet activities.
- Registration is available through the Parent Portal.

After School Academy (PreK-4 & Elementary)
Our After School Academy provides students in PreK-4 through Fifth Grade with exciting enrichment classes once a week from 3:15–4:15pm.

Afternoon Adventures (Early Childhood)
Designed for Young Toddler through PreK-3, Afternoon Adventures offers enriching, hands-on activities and free-choice learning to extend the school day from 12:30pm–3:20pm.

Vendor Enrichment Classes (PreK-3)
PreK-3 students enrolled in Afternoon Adventures are eligible to participate in special enrichment classes offered by outside vendors.
At Shlenker, our extended care and enrichment programs are more than just supervision—they are an extension of our warm, nurturing environment and commitment to whole-child learning. Whether your child is enjoying yoga in After School Academy or building social-emotional skills in Afternoon Adventures, each program is thoughtfully designed to support growth, creativity, and joy.
