Health Services

At The Shlenker School, the health, safety, and overall well-being of our students are not just priorities—they are the foundation on which every aspect of the school experience is built.

We recognize that when children feel secure, healthy, and genuinely cared for, they are able to grow and flourish in every way—achieving academic success, developing strong social connections, and building the emotional resilience that will serve them throughout their lives.

What We Provide

On-Campus Health Clinic

Shlenker is proud to have a full-time registered nurse on campus five days per week. Our Health Clinic provides Early Childhood and Elementary students with attentive care for illness, injury, and chronic medical conditions. Whether applying a Band-Aid, managing a fever, or responding to a more serious situation, our nurse ensures every child receives compassionate and professional care.

Coordinated Medical Care

Our school nurse partners closely with parents, teachers, and health professionals to support students with individualized allergy, medication, and chronic condition management plans. Families can rest assured knowing that these plans are implemented with accuracy, sensitivity, and consistency.

Preventative Care and Screenings

To support early intervention and promote wellness, the health clinic administers routine vision and hearing screenings. We also monitor immunization compliance and help guide families through requirements to ensure our campus remains a healthy and protected environment for all.

Wellness and Education

Beyond clinical care, the school nurse plays an important role in encouraging healthy habits, educating students and staff about illness prevention, and supporting our overall culture of well-being.
