Student Senate
At The Shlenker School, Student Senate provides students in Third through Fifth grades with a meaningful opportunity to grow as leaders and make a positive impact on their school and community.
Elected by their peers, Student Senate members meet regularly to plan and lead a variety of initiatives throughout the year. These include school-wide projects such as food drives, tzedakah (charitable giving) collections, and service efforts that reflect and reinforce our core values.
Through their participation, students build leadership and communication skills while learning the importance of empathy, responsibility, and civic engagement. Student Senate empowers them to use their voices, take initiative, and become thoughtful, inclusive leaders—both at Shlenker and in the world beyond our walls.

Some of the most meaningful experiences that my children have experienced at Shlenker are the leadership opportunities through programs such as Student Senate.Current/Alumni Parent and Past Board Member
